1. The service
HireHappy is an applicant tracking app for hiring teams. It lets your organization post jobs to a public job board, collect applications, move candidates through hiring stages, schedule interviews and calls, send take-home assessments, share feedback, and use AI to score applicants and draft text.
HireHappy is in beta. Features change often, and some may be added, changed or removed as we go.
Candidates who apply through a job board don't need an account, and their applications are handled by the organization they apply to. These terms are mainly for customers: the organizations that use HireHappy and their team members.
2. Your account
- Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account; tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think someone else has used it.
- Organization owners and admins decide who joins their team and what they can do, and are responsible for the people they invite.
3. Using HireHappy responsibly
When you use HireHappy, you agree not to:
- discriminate unlawfully against candidates, or use HireHappy in a way that breaks employment, anti-discrimination or privacy laws;
- post fake or misleading jobs, or use job boards to collect data under false pretences;
- upload malware or content that's unlawful, harmful or infringes someone else's rights;
- try to access other organizations' data, get around security or usage limits, or disrupt the service;
- scrape, resell or reverse engineer HireHappy, except where the law allows it.
4. Your hiring decisions
You decide who to interview, advance, hire or reject, and you're responsible for those decisions. In particular:
- Candidate data. Your organization is the controller of the candidate information it collects through HireHappy. You must have a lawful basis to collect and use it, and you're responsible for telling candidates how you'll use it and for answering their requests. We process it on your behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- AI is an aid, not a decision. AI scores and drafts can be wrong or incomplete. Review them, use your own judgement, and don't rely on them alone to make decisions about people.
5. Your content
You own the content you and your candidates put into HireHappy: jobs, applications, resumes, notes, feedback and everything else (“customer content”). You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to provide HireHappy to you, including sending it to the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy.
You're responsible for having the rights to the content you add. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.
HireHappy itself, including its software, design and brand, belongs to us. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
6. Third-party services
Some features rely on other services, such as Google Meet (if you connect a Google account) and Google Gemini for AI features. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms. We aren't responsible for services we don't control.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we handle it, including Google user data. It forms part of these terms.
8. The service is provided as is
We work hard to keep HireHappy running well, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, or that AI output will be accurate. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data, or the outcome of hiring decisions;
- our total liability for any claim about HireHappy is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using HireHappy at any time. To close your organization's account and have its data deleted, email [email protected].
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or is required to be closed by law. Where reasonable, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to put things right.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as HireHappy changes. We'll change the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, let customers know by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using HireHappy after that, you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
